Mary-Lynne
paints in oils, acrylics and watercolours, and uses mixed media. She also has a track record as a printmaker, in particular in stone lithography. Her primary source of inspiration is the land - the landscape and what grows on the land - constant sources of wonder to her. She says that if she could distill the essence of her experience of what she see in the most succinct way, she would feel that shehad done her job. The results are often quite abstract in quality.

Athena works with clay. Her work is sculptural and influenced by her Cypriot roots and her particular love for Cypriot Pottery of the Prehistoric period. She loves to hand-build and experiment with alternative firing techniques.' Ferric Fumed' raku glazes produce stunning effects, especially when combined with pit-fired finishes. She mainly uses a raku clay {Scarva Earthstone Professional - Ashraf Hannah Raku Body} which can withstand the shock of being pulled red hot out of the kiln to air temperature, be sprayed upon, submerged into water and placed in a reduction chamber.
