Q: What is the time period a participant is committing to?
A: COS is taking place over the FIRST FOUR weekends of October 2016. You may choose to participate for one weekend only, or choose two or all of them – the choice is yours.
Q: What are the hours each artist will be open to the public?
A: Participants will commit to opening their doors on both Saturday and Sunday of their chosen weekend and be in attendance between 11.00hrs and 17.00hrs – or have a stand-in if they need to be absent for any reason.
Q: What do the numbers at the bottom of the membership form mean, i.e. 1&2, 8&9, etc.?
A: Those are the dates of the weekends you may participate. You need to tick the box(es) for the weekends you choose to open your doors to the public.
Q: Is the participation fee for one weekend?
A: No! The participation fee covers the entire event, no matter how many weekends you choose to participate.
Q: Does the participation fee cover the event only?
A: No. Your entry will remain on the website until the next Cyprus Open Studios event in 2017.
Q: I am not very computer literate – is there another way I can register?
Q: I don’t know how to compress files for the images – how can I send them?
A: Please do not compress image files – we need them in High Density (HD) for publicity purposes. A minimum of 1MB would be good but not essential. Just use the email that you received when you registered and attach the images selected from your computer.
Q: Are there alternative venues if I do not want to open my own studio?
Q: When will I receive the COS Handbook?
A: We are reviewing the content at present, including the translation, and will send it to participants before 15 May 2016.
